66th Mid-Year Orchid and Garden Show

The Philippine Orchid Society, together with the Quezon City government and the Quezon Memorial Circle park management, is hosting its 66th mid-year orchid and garden show which will be open to the public from August 31 to September 10, 2012.

 

The theme this year is "Gardening is More Fun in the Philippines ”.  This is in line with the Philippine Department of Tourism's new campaign, "It's more fun in the Philippines".  (On a personal note, I do recommend you click on the link or on the picture below.)

Entrance fee:

General Public:  Php 30.00

Students  and Senior Citizens:  Php 20.00

Putrajaya Floria 2012

Did you know that:

 

  • There are at least 100 Bougainvillea cultivars of hybrids in Malaysia

What:  Putrajaya FLORIA 2012 - Malaysia’s premier outdoor/indoor garden and flower showcase.

When:  June 30 to July 8, 2012

Where:  Waterfront, Precinct 2, Putrajaya

FLORIA 2012 will showcase the best of Malaysian and international landscape and horticulture industry; from commercial landscape products to garden design and flower displays. Exhibitors from Malaysia and other participating countries will create exceptional displays and presentations in a garden setting environment.


This year's theme is “Bougainvillea - Enduring Beauty”, and the biggest collection of Bougainvillea in full bloom will be showcased.

Magic of the Night

Get ready to be dazzled by the spectacular lights and sights of the 1Malaysia International Tourism Night Floral Parade 2012 ‘Magic of the Night’, happening at the Putrajaya Lake Waterfront, Precinct 2, Putrajaya from 30 June to 8 July 2012. 

Terengganu Float - 2011 Overall Best BoatFor 9 consecutive nights visitors to Putrajaya will be captivated by remarkable and stunning display of lighted boats cruising for 3km along the Putrajaya lake from 8.30pm to 10.30pm nightly. This year’s flotilla will comprise 15 boats representing various Malaysian states and organizations, including 2 international floats from China and Kenya.

Organized by the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia the 1Malaysia International Tourism Night Floral Parade 2012 ‘Magic of the Night’ is held in conjunction with the Floria Putrajaya 2012, an annual floral exhibition organized by Perbadanan Putrajaya since 2007. This year’s Floria Putrajaya is themed “Bougainvillea-Enduring Beauty”.
