The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Sunday, December 25, 2011 at 2:57AM | Last year, we went green literally and figuratively. We used potted Araucaria (Norfolk Island Pine) to decorate the house for Christmas. We had the largest tree in the living room and two smaller ones in the dining room. After the Feast of the Three Kings, we put the trees outside near our driveway.
The tallest tree which we had planned to use again is now too tall to bring inside the house. The other two trees are too short for my wife's taste. She ended up buying an artificial tree.
Christmas tree with green, blue and purple ornaments to match the colors of the walls of the house.
I had no hand in the tree decorating. No surprise there, huh? Our 7-year old son took the tree on as his "project" and out of the whole household, he contributed the most. My wife and I were so busy this month we kept postponing buying the angel for the top. Luis couldn't wait for us to buy the angel and one morning he just surprised us with something he made.
Christmas tree lit up for the full effect.
He also made the white circle in the middle of the tree and I think I will end this post with a close-up view. To my family, friends and readers, this says it all:

Gorgeous tree. Belated Christmas greetings!
Thanks Lily! Belated Merry Christmas!
Tell your son he did a remarkable job. I love the decorating and his art. Hope your holiday was wonderful and you and your family have a happy, healthy new year.
He had adult supervision and was told what and where to hang. I'm sure he will love being told you liked his angel and "wreath". Our holidays were great, if short. Hope you had a great time as well. Can't wait for this weekend.
Belated merry xmas and a happy new year to you!
Happy New Year Lrong!
